FAQ

Do You Take Insurance? At Neuro Lab Physical Therapy & Wellness, we prioritize individualized care for complex neurologic and vestibular conditions which often require more time, visits and specialized resources than insurance plans typically allow. By being out-of-network, we can provide the highest level of care without restrictions. We can provide you with a superbill for potential reimbursement depending on your benefits.

Can I get reimbursed for my visits? Possibly! We can provide a superbill at the end of each appointment that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Since every plan is different, reimbursement is not guaranteed, but we encourage you to check your specific benefits.

Why choose Neuro Lab? We can see you fast: We understand that starting therapy promptly after a neurologic event is critical for promoting neuroplasticity and improving long-term outcomes. Early intervention for vestibular-related dizziness has also been shown to accelerate recovery and reduce the overall number of therapy visits needed. Specialized care: You will be seen by a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist with years of experience treating complex neurologic and vestibular conditions.  Individualized Care: Each session is 1:1 with your therapist and individualized for you. You will have the consistency of working with the same provider. Equipment: We utilize advanced equipment, including infrared goggles for a comprehensive assessment of dizziness and an overhead safety harness system for both stationary and mobile functional training. Our approach considers the whole body, addressing all aspects of your condition—whether it's cognition, sensory needs, or mobility. We offer tools like heart rate variability assessments with live biofeedback for autonomic regulation, and incorporate fun, challenging equipment like Blaze Pods to keep therapy engaging and effective. We are EDS and hypermobility informed: At Neuro Lab, we are Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and hypermobility informed, taking into account how connective tissue disorders may affect your recovery. We also recognize the potential presence of related diagnoses such as Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ensuring a comprehensive, individualized approach to your care.

How long are the therapy sessions? Sessions are 60 minutes unless otherwise agreed upon by you and your therapist.

Do I need a referral from a doctor? In most cases, you do not need a referral to begin therapy with us. If you choose to seek reimbursement from your out-of-network benefits, we recommend checking with your insurance company.

What should I expect during my first visit? During your initial visit, we’ll conduct a thorough evaluation of your condition, set personalized goals, and create a customized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

What is a "superbill" and how do I submit it? A superbill is an itemized receipt of your services. You can submit it to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.

Do you offer telehealth or virtual visits? Yes, we offer virtual visits for both evaluations and treatments. In-person therapy may not always be feasible or as beneficial as virtual depending on your condition or situation. Reach out to see if telehealth is right for you.

What group exercise classes do you offer? Right now we offer 45 min classes for people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) to address Rigidity, Bradykinesia (slowing of movement), Incoordination and Balance, and Self-Awareness and Focus. You can participate whether you need to sit down, lie down, or are able to stand and move around. We want you to be able to participate at whatever stage you’re at. We are currently working to offer group exercise classes for the aging adult and for those with vestibular conditions. Please contact info@neurolabpt.com for more information.

Why should I join a Parkinson's group exercise class? Exercise provides tremendous benefits for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Research shows that regular physical activity can halt, slow, and even reverse the progression of PD symptoms. Exercise isn’t just good for the body—it’s brain-changing medicine! And no matter where you are in your journey, it’s never too late to start reaping the benefits.    We understand that starting an exercise routine can feel overwhelming, especially when faced with the unique challenges of PD. That’s why our 45-minute Parkinson’s group classes are designed to make it easier for you to begin. In a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, you’ll be guided through exercises to improve mobility, balance, and strength. Plus, you’ll be surrounded by others on the same path, helping you stay motivated and engaged in your health. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing PD for years, our classes meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence.
